Todd Coulthard against a leafy backdrop
As a child, Todd Coulthard (he/him) was often found dancing in the living room, even before he was enrolled in his first dance classes at age 8. During his university years, Todd's dance journey took a turn through Argentine Tango and Blues. It was the allure of West Coast Swing’s music, however, that truly captured Todd's heart. In his dance practice, Todd finds immense satisfaction in the intricate interplay between movement and music, always striving to intuitively respond to his partner's cues and the nuances of each song. Todd is the head instructor at RSC: he develops the curriculum, runs many of the classes, and trains all of our other teachers.  Beyond the dance floor, Todd is proud to be the father to the world's cutest dog.
Jessie Breault against a leafy backdrop
Jessie Breault (she/her) has been dancing recreationally her whole life and is known for her inability to resist a dance floor. Jessie discovered West Coast Swing in 2015 and has been hooked ever since. Despite enjoying other partner dances, including salsa, bachata, kizomba, and Lindy Hop, West Coast Swing is the dance that feels most like home. Jessie is the Community Safety Officer at RSC, which includes being the primary contact for the Code of Conduct and managing our social media presence. Jessie is an advocate for safe and inclusive dance communities, and is ready to answer any questions or discuss any concerns you have related to our Code of Conduct. Feel free to reach out to Jessie through any of our social media pages or email her directly at jessie@breault.ca.
Brad Blashko against a leafy backdrop
Brad Blashko (he/him) has been partner dancing in Ottawa since 2016. While he’s tried other types of dances here and there, West Coast Swing has always been his favourite style. Brad is also the resident DJ for Rideau Swing Collective, staying on top of the latest musical trends in the scene and bringing those back to Ottawa. Brad loves going to weekend dance events near and far to learn, compete, and socialize. His main goal for RSC is to help the local westie scene continue to thrive!
